bonnet or boot catches

The not so quick release catches. I am having problem getting them to closed. It was just one to start with, but now they are both doing it. Took me 10 minutes to get it closed last night(almost got the hammer treatment)

When you open them you push the small part and the clasp springs up. When closing is there a lock? do you have to push the small release or should they just close?

Mine sticks sometimes - just wiggle about in the catch with a small screwdriver to part close it then push down.

I found I was having to push down on the panel to get them closed (especially when the engine was hot) so I adjusted the rear bump stops a little - job done.

Del's right, had the same problrm with mine and a bit of fiddling with the bump stops fixed the problem. Trial and error I'm afraid.

Its not lining the hole thats the problem, it seems to be the catch itself.

The dealer seems to think he will fix it on Friday.

Had a go last night. Jo your were right you just have to wiggle it from side to side and it closes no problem.

Scotty I got the same problem..."hammer treatment"...I found out that it was really "dry" inside...I have put some grease and now it is working for 6 months...to day I felt again that I should go again for a "lubrication"
