Ap discs are made from better material then the standard Lotus brakes and don't overheat as easy. Its also a lot cheaper then the

Must admit I was casting covetous glances at some drilled and grooved lightweight disks on a Belgian 2-11 last weekend at Clastres. Might have to be a winter project

Hey, some of us just buy those ap calipers for the bmw mini, then ask local mechanics to make brackets and ali bells, we use those brembo oem brake discs which were made for bloody heavy benz The good thing about the disc choice is that they comes in lots of different sizes & thickness.

It works cheaper & performs very well during our local lotus race series

Our local track racers had been doing these conversions for a long time, u can source those 4 pots little street brembo calipers from usa as well, wilwood is another cheaper route too.

These brake brands offer good enough performance for our light weight 2-11 for a cheaper price.

Remember, don't over shoot on the size of the brake disc when doing the conversion though, our 2-11 is very light in weight when compare to other sport cars.

If you are serious about the brakes then I would say don't go for drilled. Dimpled and grooved is the way to go.
