Rolling Road day in Milton Keynes

I accompanied a friend to have his M5 on the rolling road last weekend. Seemed like pretty good fun. The chap is in Milton Keynes and has a very nice setup with the ability and tools to do a lot of things. He has new Skyline thingy in there at the moment that he has completely rebuilt for example.

If we can get a group of 5 or more, the price of the rolling road is

Hi Jase - long time no see!!

I'm interested... Let's hope I still have my car eh?! :o lol

How about Karl's Missus' Supra? :)

Sounds good!  But it would have to be on a weekend.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Deffinitely. I think it most likely to be a Sunday as he's going to open just that bit of his unit for us. Apparently it was his wife's idea to make a day of it with the BBQ etc :o

Hi all

I was with Jason and Paul when Paul put his M5 on the rollers.

It is a very clean and modern rolling road with some mental KPI's displays etc.

For V8 owners especially, the fans at the front of the roling road are very powerful and the unit is rectangular accross the whole width of the car so there should be no issues with overheating etc.

I'll also be happy to film the cars as they take to the rollers, edit the footage and transfer it to DVD for everyone.

Sounds excellent all round!

Got any ideas of date yet ?

Very rarely can I not fiddle around it but if I'm on call (now reduced to 1 in 5 weeks !!! :o:o ) it's a bit harder for me to get someone to cover esp if it's Lotus related.

I'm hoping car will be 100% by then, love to see what it's churning out and whether it needs any adjustment.

Date is open to recommendation really. I'm able to do from 1st March. Thought spring time would be best due to weather. Although I guess April is bad as it's wet. How about Mid-March?

Sunday March 19th?

Jason - I'd rather avoid the Club Lotus show weekend, if at all possible! :o

What about the 4th/5th or 11th/12th of March?

Dan.

BTW, 19th March is Lotus Show at Donnington. If you do it on this day you may get people dropping out.

I was planning one in Merseyside but sometimes these events are a pain to organise. Will put a post up anyway.

Wouldn't it be good to arrange at the dates and have someway of linking together via internet webcam MSN? so we can link BHP together?

I can do the necessary at this end and get 10 people (I think)

Oops. I subconciously knew there was something on then.

How about Sunday 9th April.

Dave, idea of linking them sounds great but I have neither the hardware nor grey matter to do that I'm afraid.

Hi Jason

Got Paul with me, we just need to make sure that Sunday is ok for Martin.

We think he's Monday to Saturday business.

May have to be Sat. 8th April. Will advise when Paul speaks to him on Monday.

Count me in would like to see what the girl in my life bites like when she is allowed to show her teeth in anger.

as for other cars there is a lamborgini mercilargo belongs to a bloke in the next village to me next time I spot him I wonder if it would be to crass to flag him down and invite him too.

GB vs Italia who knows what that would show!!!! :)

Kinda watching this thread BTW  :)

Cars going in for work in feb, so assuming it's back it would

be optimum time to do this. When you got a date i'll say.

Howdee Paul

We are going for that weekend. Just a matter of Saturday or Sunday working best.

Fingers crossed that your car is in good health and does not need to be off the road until then.

Hey... never know, I may even have a new V8 by then!
