Rolling Road day in Milton Keynes

Count me in would like to see what the girl in my life bites like when she is allowed to show her teeth in anger.

Good for you, bring her along.

as for other cars there is a lamborgini mercilargo belongs to a bloke in the next village to me next time I spot him I wonder if it would be to crass to flag him down and invite him too.

Now that would be awesome. We may need to check the power of the rolling road to see if it can handle 570 horses???

Martyn, did you say Paul was going to speak to Martin on Monday? Could you ask him to book us in for the Saturday or Sunday of that weekend if he's available please? I think we have enough interest at this point to pencil our intentions in with him. Thanks mate.

Any weekend (baring major disasters) is good for me - If I know 1-2 weeks in advance I can avoid being on call. I'll turn up with a car to by tested even if the Esprit aint on the road (currently 2 days behind schedule...prep the firing squad).

That's a very kind offer, thanks Rob.

Speaking of which, I was thinking this morning that we should mention it to the local rag and see if we can get a photo in the paper.

Hi Rob

Hope you are well.

What ideas on a photo shoot did you have in mind?

Lining the cars up outside your showroom etc?

Latest Update

We have 11 names in the frame so far with a maximumof 5 more spaces available.

16 cars on the day is a full day with a proper run on the rollers and setting the cars up, strapping them down etc.

Local Sunday Newspapers may do an article on the day with piccies etc. My friend Nikki works for them and she's pretty convinced she can get us some space.

Don't forget, all exotics are welcome on the day so feel free to mention it to friends with proper cars!

Bernard Grenville-Jones (Ferarri F355) has just secured another place for someone.

"Something really interesting" he quoted!

I wonder if Dermot would be interested aswell?

Just talked to my next door neighbour about power and mentioed this, he might be tempted to bring his Countach if there is a place ?

As I said, you can never have enough wedge.

Can I ask a blonde question, given that I'm already on the list for this?

What exactly will the rolling road session involve - is it just a case of strapping the car to the dyno and doing a few 'runs' and analysing results?

The reason I ask is that, being one of the carb boys, I never overlook the opportunity to use a multiple exhaust gas meter (which i expect them to have) to check/tweak the state of tune. Just wondering if I'll have a chance to fiddle with the equipment, as it were, whilst others are having their go, or whether this will be in use as part of the dyno session...?

Got to make the most of your horses when you've got the smallest paddock in the county...

I never was very good with horses. Or analogies.

Linking this with Dave's earlier post on the Northern power day if either place has broadband or anyone has access to a mobile card thingy (G3?? card) could we not have a dedicated thread on here to monitor the different runs at each location?? would kinda make it interesting to link the 2??

Cheers

The Countach is welcome and i'm sure that simple tweeks while unleashing the horses can be done while the right foot is touching the carpet.

Look forward to seeing all there.

Hi all

Rob from Stratstone Lotus posed an interesting question to me regarding the rolling road we are using on the 8th.

As they were good questions, i've posted the info in case anyone else had wondered:

A ) Does it do 4 wheel drive? and the answer is Yes.

B ) How much BHP can it handle? and the answer is 1000BHP

So... unlikely that anyone will be breaking it on the day!

Martyn / Jason...

Do we have a final Roll Call for this?!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

No final call as yet. Latest list is the last listing on these threads.

I was going to keep the thread bubbling until end of March and then get a latest version then.

That would leave just over a week to re-fill any slots.
