I am currentely looking for (2) items for my 97 Esprtit

1. A Electronic Boost controller

2. A Water/Ethenal Injection.

Does anyone have personal experience good or bad with either? Regarding.

a. Brand/Manufacture

b. Price$$$$

c. Performance

d. Installations do's and dont's

Taking all opinions!

Would have thougt the ECU would hate the boost controller - the 2 will be fighting each other as the ECU controlls the boost.

Chip is the better option, sounds like you're in USA - speak to John Welch (WC engineering.com) abut making a custom chip.

Slap it upto about 1 Bar, stock pressure sensor wont read much higher and the turbo will go out of it's efficiency range so it's not worth going any higher imo.

I have used both http://www.snowperformance.net/ and http://www.alcoholinjectionsystems.com/ in my cars, and I have installed a kit from http://www.alcohol-injection.com/ in a buddy's car.

They are easy easy to install - and all nearly the same. The kits range from fairly cheap - to double the cost once you add all the bells&whistles - like running N2O. I would recommend all the bells - level indicators, cut-off switches, one-way valves.

If you are serious about tracking the car - and tune it right to the edge to need the meth - then you run serious risks if/when you have issues with the meth delivery (corner slosh, plug lines/nozzle, empty tank, ...etc). Often, it's the only option, but I would push all the other options first.

I use the HKS EVC VI and have to say its the second best thing I did to the Esprit. Best were the AP brakes.. :-)

In spring I will mount the water injection, so both were on my list. :)
