Dont forget the gentlemen in the Red G Turbo who kindly drove it to the space and turned the engine off after we pushed it!

Used to belong to me, and yes, i changed the starter in that car!

I'm not going to speak for the Oxford lot as our usual pre-meet is

on a road with major ongoing roadworks. There is a chance that i

myself may decide to go alone cross country and pick up the M40/M42

around Warwick, i'm not sure yet.

last trip out the surry crew consisted of:

Pit Stop Pete (Silver Weapon of Mondeo destruction)

Me (dan- lil black S3)

We had a good run, we didn't get too silly, my wagon doesnt go over 135 (and I ont like it up there any hoo)

and Pete rarely goes over 170!  LOL

only kidding, we nip along when its clear and cruise when its not, it was my first time out at Stoneleigh and had a great day, everyone looks after everyone else, including pusihng mine hwen the starter motor packed up!

I've been talking to Alan Morgan at Club Lotus about making a '50 Years of Club Lotus' film this year, so I'm planning to be filming at Donington on 18th & 19th March. I'm booked in to the Holiday Inn at Nottingham on the night of 18th and I hear there's a strong Scottish contingent staying there too, so I might get my accent recharged.

Hope to meet everyone there.

Sorry about switching your engine off at the Porridge Pot - I'm not used to an unreliable Lotus (sorry Paul, said smugly and probably with regret). I can't remember talking about a respray - I think that was the guy with the red S1 parked next to me. I just scraped in within my annual 6000 mile insurance limit upon renewing in January so you can see the ol' girl is getting used. Looking forward to Donny and details of the M1 Newport Pagnell pre-meet when Fishy gets round to posting a new thread as threatened.

SUNDAY 19TH MARCH

A few people have asked about Esprit only parking at Donington.

At Stoneleigh there was pretty much unlimited parking and we could have

more or less what we wanted (i marked off enough for some 60 esprits).

Donington has a 'Lotus only' carpark, This has always worked well in the past.

I'm reluctant to mark off an area of it, as it's always been first come first served

so to speak. How would we feel if we got there nice and early to find the only

spaces still free were marked out for other model cars?

The kind of times we are arriving there has not been a problem (saturday has

been busier before though). Around lunchtime spaces start to appear anyway,

so any latecomers will find a spot, people can move their cars from general

parking etc. It's really nothing to panic about.

The one recurring thing that happens after the big meets is people fail to put

names to faces, miss people they would have liked to have met, and in some

cases fail to meet anyone. The line in my signature is there to remind everyone

to meet at Kato's car at 12 o'clock midday for a group photo and meet up.

Don't be shy to speak up there if you are a newbie, thats the time!

What say we got for an 08:00 meet at Newport Pagnell (northbound!) services for an 08:15 departure? It's 70 ish miles up to Donny, therefore we will arrive at around 09:30, depending on the weight of various right shoes

We're meeting at 8am at the Darlaston Inn which in the middle of the roundabout junction where the A34 meets the A51 in Stone Staffordshire. That might involve you in a little detour............but we are worth it.

well i will be there both days, as like lisa i only live down the road from donny, which car i will be in, i have yet to decide, as the gt3 is not looking good with no bumper, and i dont think it will be even nearly ready by then. as needs alot more cosmetics and engine work till the new re-style is complete

so i should be there sunday in range or big ass veilside supra esprit killing machine LOLOLOL
