S3/Turbo Ears - how to remove ?

Recommended Posts

Apart from the front bumper the only thing left to detrim for the spray job are the ears.

I can feel something from the inside but not sure if they are nuts or whatever - you can't see them as they are well tucked in behine the inner wing, I think there may be 4 of them.

Whatever they are a spanner seems useless! Anyone know what size they are if indeed they are nuts and also if there is a technique to their removal.

Thanks Bibs, were not as rich as you southerners you know!! If someone buys my white S3 if the next month then I'll join - I promise innocent.gif !!!

Is it a case of blindly trying to spanner them off then? Looks like you need arms like Mr Tickle to reach them!!

Any clues on my headllamp pod bays in my earlier post???

They're on with 4 nuts - either 8 or 10mm, can't remember. A long reach socket will get to them. Then gently ease the ear away - it'll probably be tight and you could cause damage. If you want to take the duct off as well, that's somewhat tougher!
