Does the Full cage change the aero role of the Rear WIng ?

I m wondering about a Full cage for my SVA 211.

I heard somewhere that the Full cage is changing the aerodynamic of the rear wing…Any opinion pls ?

It creates more turbulance so the air reaching the rear wing reduces efficiency, but it will still work to a point.

The GT4 has a wider rear wing for that purpose.

Personally I'd be surprised if it had a noticable effect - the front cross sectional area is about the same and given the turbulent nature of the open cockpit I don't think a few extra poles will do too much.

The larger wing may be down to gt4 regs where large aero wings are allowed.
