Thanks for the replies. As many of you are aware the visibility is somewhat limited due to its location and instead of relocating I discovered a convex mirror that might do the trick. Company is called Multivex Mirrors (http://www.multivexmirror.net) and they produce replacement mirrors for many types of cars. Of course the Lotus isn't listed but I did send them patterns. The cost is $150.00 which is about double for the ones they stock.

I am trying to get that reduced and if any of you are interested you might contact them and we might get a better deal. Check it out.

Am I correct in thinking that the newer mirrors which were fitted to the SEs came from the Citroen CX. Although mine is the Steven design car it is the early type and still has the older wing mirrors which I would like to change. Only difficulty is that Citroen CX wing mirrors are rarer than hens teeth.

Yep, there was a change with the 88 and up Stevens cars. I was planning on upgrading the mirrors upon a re-paint but for the time being I would like to see!

They are off mark one Fiesta. I prefer them to the CX not as chunky.
