seal liners ?

i want to seal my new liners with hylomar sealant.

how exaclty do i put the hylomar on. any tricks `cause i never did this before.

please help.

I use method A, B or c would probably mean it's a real pain to push the liner is as the machining leaves them a snug fit.

Don't use Hylomar for that application. There are better options available (much more durable) Any of the specialists can advise/supply. Unlike Andy, I use option c! I also do the same in the block bore as well as the liner.

what sealants are recommended ?

the problem with the hylomar is that it drys very fast i suggest.

so is there any trick to apply to the liner?

I like quizzes....

The trick is not to use blue hylomar as it does not bond the liners in place, so its difficult to subsequently remove the head without disturbing the seal. RTV - Absolutely not

The appropriate grade of anerobic Loctite is the correct answer.
