Keyless/engine venting mods

Recommended Posts

Just finished installing a mod to cool down the engine bay in my TE. I found the engine bay needed more cooling in idle states ie: traffic etc. Seems to be working well. The fan that normally would switch on via a series of sensors and switches now can be turned on manually using the existing defroster switch found on the dash. Simply disconnect the existing connectors on the window, route new wiring to the engine cover connector and thats it.

Another mod was installing a keyless entry kit purshased at Princess Auto about 5 years ago. Finally got to it and now doors open and close remotely. Routing wiring from the doors into the cab was the toughest part. There was quite a bit of fiddling with actuator rod position but eventually got it right.

Now time to deal with a gurgling sound coming from my fuel pump.....??????

Happy Lotusing!

Oh yes, forgot to mention that the temp sensor on the underside of the cover must be jumped. Disconnect the two leads and connect them together.
