Esprit once again!

Hello everyone,

after a year of being Lotusless (my ex Esprit S4 is now in Belgium), last week I became the new owner of a beautiful Dark Metallic Blue Esprit Sport 300, number 25.

I just cannot express in words how excited I am, consider that I live in Canada and the car is in Italy, and in a week I will finally have the chance to see it in person...

Cheers!

Francesco

Congrats on being an Esprit owner (again). Enjoy!

Heaven is where the police are British, the chefs Italian, the mechanics German, the lovers French and it is all organized by the Swiss. Hell is where the police are German, the chefs British, the mechanics French, the lovers Swiss and it is all organized by the Italians.

You make something idiotproof, they'll make a better idiot

You think professional is expensive, just wait until you pay for amateur.

cheers.gif Congrats buddy and welcome to the club , I hope you get to see no 25 soon and hope all goes well getting the Sport 300 back to Canada. I waited and searched years to get mine and have had it for 9 years and have loved every day of ownership. Lets see some pics and please keep us updated on your progress and adventure getting 25 home to Canada

Great news, you've been after one of those for a while!

Pics please :D

You are absolutely right, not only I have been after one for a long time, but I also missed at least three good opportunities!!

Having said that I like the color of this one better than the ones I had the opportunity to buy before, so I am pretty happy in the end :)

As far as pics are concerned I actually don't have many, the Lotus mechanic who inspected it for me took only closeup pictures of all important details, which is what I wanted to see...

Next week I will be back to Italy so finally I will get a chance to see it in person and take some proper pictures for the forum!

Cheers,

Francesco

Ehehe, yes luckily both the car and the money are right where they are supposed to be :)

Thank you so much, the goal is to progressively restore it to absolutely pristine condition, then I will try to bring it here to Canada.

I have had a S4 for 10 years and I really loved it, but as Bibs knows I had been looking for a 300 for a while, so after I sold the S4 last summer I looked for the right one cash-in-hand and when n.25 came up I had it inspected and purchased it shortly after.

It has been sitting in a basement for a long time so it will need a fair amount of restoration, but that's fine, I am in no rush and I want it to be perfect...

I have most definitely seen Andy's beautiful GT, words cannot quite describe it.

Cheers,

Francesco

  • 2 months later...

I have finally seen n.25 in person, at the Lotus garage where it is being serviced, and I have taken a few pictures that I added to the garage...

An interesting anecdote: I discovered that this car originally belonged to Romano Artioli, the owner and president of Lotus Cars between 1993 and 1996; this was his Sport 300!

Cheers,

Francesco
