Anyone know anything about this yellow S4 on Ebay item number 4535470194, anyone in Kent could give it the once over see if its worth the journey

Paul, I see he has answered your question about the number plate, all vert polite and friendly..... I asked him some very searching questions concerning the exhaust manifold, electrics, brakes and all the other usual suspects, he hasnt wrote back to me.....

TBH, i'd be more fussed about the chargcooler rad

not being kept cool enough than the engine rad...

He says the exhaust 'blows' and needs welding, I assume he means

the manifold. As you know i have just spent some dosh replacing mine

on the basis it had been welded rather than replaced...

But on the flip side, loads of esprits for sale have cracked manifolds,

so it ain't really reason for anything else but haggling, after all, an

intact but old one could crack once you bought the car, and no haggling then!!!

I also asked for some additional photo's and he said he would oblige. Not sure if he will post on Ebay or Email Ian. If he emails them, I will send them on to you. Strange that the wheels should be so ropey and the rest looks ok. Front ender perhaps with respray? Hence low flying number plate?

Be nice to see the condition of the interior as well. The trouble with photos is that you never know how old they are and if they reflect the current condition of the car.

I looked at S4 last weekend in Southampton. Had loads of photos of the car before viewing. Absolutely stunning. Only problem was that they were taken when he bought it over 18 months ago. Now the cars a complete dog. Sacrilege. It makes me Soooooooooooo

Why did'nt he do the manifold at the same time.

I live just 15 minutes down the road with him and would be happy to go and check it over for you if you are genuinely serious about it?

Could probably get BN to come along too as a second opinion

I may have got it all wrong gentlemen (usually with women but never on cars ) but I think that is the Lotus press car, "Rhodes Around His Ego", "Top Gear", etc etc etc.

If I could be arsed I would put my crackly old tape of the 1993 episode of TG it appeared in to check, but I can't at the mo'. Maybe tomorrow when I wake up a it.
