Hi Vin,

GKP is right. The access to the parts manuals has been really useful to me, and you get them just by joining the forum.

Also if you can pick up a workshop manual. I got one for £26 on ebay and its going to be a massive help with putting my car back together, along with any other future problems.

I know money is tight when doing a project but joining the forum is £20 well spent!

(Do I get any commision guys?!)

How do the accelerator pedal parts of the pedal box come apart? I've punched out the pin but nothing else will budge. Do I need to get someone to press it out?

So my plater lost some parts - like I didn't have enough crap to worry about with this car - so am chasing up a few bits and pieces.

On the pedal box, does anyone know what spec the two bolts/nuts on top are? The ones floating in the foreground on the right that have no number (real helpful). Don't suppose anyone has their pedal box lying around easily accessible?

Hi Antonio,

The 2 bolts you identified as floating are both M8 x 1.25 x 30 mm.  Sorry, but I don't understand your reference to the "bolts/nuts on top".  If you can further clarify I can help out as my pedal box is already restored and off my car awaiting its time to go back in.

Hi Louis,

I don't mean the studs that are welded on and go the brake booster through the front boot, I mean the bolts that face down and fix the pedal box to the captive nuts/threads on the chassis.

Four bolts in total, you can see two of the holes either side of the box in the second pic I provided. In the diagram the holes are obscured, only one is barely visible in the direction of where the number 8 is pointing.

Hi Antonio,

Sorry !  the 4 bolts that secure the pedal box to the chassis (through the body) are all M8 x 1.25 x 20 mm (each with a washer and lock washer).  Good luck getting that one hard one back in - I recall it was a major pain to get at it.
