Engine looks pretty bad, perhaps this would make a good project + V8 conversion?

Hmm...it is always the same.

You see nothing for ages. You buy something else which takes up the last of the space on the driveway, then see something that you would definately have bought.

I think I recall seeing this car advertised last year on ebay.

NB on the subject of a V8 conversion, there is an ice blue eclat Riveira out there with a 3.5 V8 in it. It is a long term project that is bumping along slowly. I looked at potentially buying it before I bought mine. It has the makings of a beautiful car - perhaps my perfect car.

Just to annoy you further Dunc, there is another project car on Ebay - Y reg this time - Riviera bonnet but perhaps not a Riviera

hmmm Riviera bonnet and tail, but a nice britax glass sunroof instead of the Riviera lift out panel! I can think of two people who won't be bidding and I am one of them.

but at that price I'm sure I could hide it under a tarpaulin somewhere in the back garden...Helen never ventures past the tree line, so in reality she would never know its there...

£11, 20 in the end. That seems a lot considering the work that would be necessary to bring it to a reasonable condition.

Not really... It is pretty special being a riviera, and the box and prop alone are probably worth half of the cost...

I'm always optimistic on projects like these, but what is it likely to need? A damn good clean inside and out, a belt and engine service, a brake service, and probably 4 tyres?

Could be a real find for somone.
