Hi one of my exhaust mounts has come apart does anyone know of an alternative part,

I know sj have got them but wondered if it originated from another car.

These are about £20? If you get lucky and find that they're from another car it's very likely that they're either very similarly priced or may even be more expensive. I'd save my efforts looking for replacements of more expensive parts.

This reminds me of those "does anyone know a cheaper oil filter" threads, that pop up from time to time.

I also concur just order the original and have done with it, if its £20. You'll expend a lot more trying to source another model, and even if someone does pipe up, who's to say there car is standard and the part that works for them will work for you?

Ah, steel plater with a hole in it to bolt to exhaust, U shaped steel plate with three holes to bolt to gearbox carrier, rubber block between the two.

I'd have guessed at application specific. I bought some new ones in a parts sale, then found the bonding coming undone, so I now have some 6mm thread and a pair of nuts (nyloc type) to prevent them completely coming apart, and still do the job.
