What is the minimum amount of required liner "nip" above the block deck to get a good seal? I have been told that insufficient nip will result in a leaky head gasket. I have 2 sets of liners, and after putting each liner in each position in the block yesterday, it looks like the best combination I have will result in .002-.004 liner protrusion. Will this be enough, or am I going to need to have my block decked?

Maybe someone else can confirm but I'm pretty sure the liner nip spec for your S1 is .003-.005 inch.
