Hi chaps, back from sunny Greece, got a good tan, had great time. Good to be back. But back with a problem, I have a slow puncture and have established that it is a failure around the valve and or possibly around the joint of the 3 pieces. I have taken the tyre off and the seal all around the inner joint looks very good. So any idea how to fixed without stripping the wheel. I was going to clean the seal and the rim either side and spread a thin layer of silicone over the ariginal seal and 12 to 20 mill either side. BUT what sealant to use, most of the sealants I have are decorating type and the sealant that has been used has a very tough surface, it looks to be very strong but supple.

So can anyone make any suggestions please.

Dave

well I have had a good look at the wheel and found that the nut securing the valave was not tight. So a bit of a nip up might help. I also used some metal (areldite) plastic, liquid metal. The tyre goes back on tomorrow, I will let u know if this works. Fingers crossed.
