Date - Saturday 19th June

Plan:-

My wife is one of the organisers of the local Junior School Summer Fayre at the school my youngest Daughter attends.

She has just returned from a meeting this evening where she tells me a late idea from the committe was to try to attract a small number of cars/vehicles for an attraction for the attending children/adults to look at. One of the committe said he would be able to pull some classic Minis there at short notice. Margaret mentioned this to me and asked if I could pull in a few Lotus Cars. (can't be outdone by a few Minis now can I!)

Certainly not loads needed as space is limited but would be great to get 3 or 4 to attend.

Would need to arrive by 11.30am (opens at 12.00pm) and be away again by around 3.30pm as it starts to wind down.

Not much to do other than have your car looked at, eat the odd BBQ burger and drink coffee. PM me or Phone for more info if needed.

Assumed that would be the case for alot Paul so only posted in the South West events. Only really aimed locally but thanks for replying anyway mate.

Hi Ian....On current plans, I'll be leaving for Snetterton about 4am Sunday so that gives me plenty of time to get to this, get back, clean the car again and even get some shuteye. Excellent !! So.....can do it in either the Esprit or Elan....your choice - let me know where to be, when, in what. Mike

Lovely family, lovely house, you must be very proud Ian. Shame there wasn't a proper car already installed when we got there to complete the picture. I realised I hardly took any pics - none at the school so missed Paul's car - sorry. All good fun - ta for the refreshments!

Could I just take this oppertunity on Ian's Lotus Forum to thank Mike, Rick, Mark, Von, and Paul for taking the trouble (and also drive some distance) to our local Junior School Summer Fayre on Saturday afternoon. By the time I left at around 6pm, and we had done the big 'count up' and we made a profit after expences of just over £5000 for the school. (almost £1000 up on last year)

The main organiser Kevin (who I think introduced himself at the beginning) also phoned me yesterday and asked if I could pass on his thanks for supporting our event, it really was very much appreciated. Also another thank you to Rick for organising for the Heart FM vehicle to be in attendance.

Nice to meet you all and hope to see you again.
