007 is looking great now with the interior much improved from when I was trying to buy it, Mark is planning to use it as well so hopefully it will be in the spotted thread soon!

With all these Essex cars being restored and finished it would be great to see them at Brooklands doing a lap of honour next year? What a great photo shoot that would make!

Mark I volunteer as an extra driver ??

See what you mean, the car must have been painted since I saw it in 2010 surely..and this should have been addressed then! It did have a stubby black rubber mobile phone aerial drilled into one of the rear flanks as well. The bodywork back then was in quite a poor state tbh.

 I am no Essex expert .But did they all come with Essex cam covers . Should it have the lotus part in the rear bumper ..either way a great car to own  if any one could afford it .Good luck to its new owner...Mike

As it happens for some reason not all Essex Esprit's where fitted with Essex cam covers my number 005 has 018 didn't but the last owner managed to get some and throw them in with the deal and 007 does not have them as well . This is the same with the rear bumper 007 and 005 have the Lotus embossed rear bumper 018 has the plain one . Pictured here is Essex 029 LHD which also has the embossed rear bumper, to be honest I think they used whatever they had in the parts bin. The badge on the tailgate has now been removed on 007 and the area has been repaired and painted also some of the decals have been replaced.

Has the whole car been repainted now Mark?

Apparently (so iv'e been told) that shade of blue is a sod to get right, is that correct?
