Cam tower to head gasket

Hello, up until engine # 11726 one needs to use a gasket between the cam housing and the head. Now, my engine is newer (13393) , but is does have a gasket installed. The workshop manual mentions that for engines after 11726 some sealant is to be used instead combined with an o-ring for which some section of the cam housing is supposed to be machined. Can someone pls explain what the visual differences are between these early and later style cam housings, as I can't see any machined section on my cam housings?

Many thanks in advance!

Dennis

Where the pressurised oil-way is (you'll see a small pipe sticking out of the head by a few mm) there should be a corresponding recess in the cam tower. Around that recess there will be a very shallow one for the rubber O ring to sit in.
