Seats and carpets

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of re-decorating my lounge

Err, I've got some new seats (the nice V8 ones, very sporty) and was going to swap them over this weekend however got a bit carried away and removed all my old carpets, as they were white and getting a bit tatty. Anyone know of a good source of carpet, I want a full set and also the boot carpet too. Thanks ;)

SJ supplied me with new footwell carpets.

Very good, i chose navy with white piping

and they were exactly to the original pattern.

IIRC Black carpet sets are fairly easy to get

but if you go into colours they may be harder

to get or more costly?

Unsure if they actually make pink, but try by all means...

You need to use a heat resistant glue like Dunlop 1358 to glue the new carpets in place. It's loaded with Toluene and is a sniffers delight.

If you let it stick to your fingers you'll peel off your skin removing it.

It's good stuff though.

My biggest problem was removing the old carpet. They must have known something about glue in 1987 we don't know today.

I fitted the SJ carpets.

They were fine.
