Vulcan Show

Once a year, at Wellebourne airfield - they do a Fast Taxi Run of one the last few left Vulcan bombers. This has been set for Sunday June 19 this year.

They have also have a car show with the display which I am hoping to get some Esprits to attend. If there are any takers, this is a great event and may be the one event which could be used to replace to Concorde shoot.

At last year's event, Quentin Wilson attended to talk about the various vehicles that attend.

Any vehicle displayers get free access to the show and its a good event for any aircraft fanatics.

The website is at http://www.xm655.co.uk . From last year

http://www.lotusespritworld.com/Old%20News..._May-Jun04.html - title Esprit takes on the Vulcan.

As Stratford is central and close by, this make make a great meeting place which could then carry on for a scenic drive through Stratford, to show off our cars.

Anybody interested please let me know

Maurice

I grew up in Coventry,

I remember watching a Vulcan Bomber fly in to the baggington air strip

(it flew over our back garden) on it's final flight. Am not 100% sure but

i think this is the same plane they have at wellesbourne.

Think i have seen it there over the years when visiting the market they

have on the airstrip, and i have a photo of a little me having a passenger

ride in a microlight from that runway! ;)

PS, am afraid i will be drawn to the Exotica at

Supercar Sunday on that date, but have fun!
