I'm in the hunt for a White Esprit S3 Turbo, requires full service history etc. If anyone knows of one for sale please let me know.

may of found one in Queensland, its not white but, so far looks ok on paper, may head over and have alook.

Yes that is the one.

The owner personally imported it, has had panel and paint, some small maintanence items carried out. There is a oil leak left side, just inboard from fuel tank ( owners description), Cam towers? It is his regular drive car and its been garaged by both owners. Has doco's and seems nice and tidy, the true test is to view it, I have got the checklist provded by Lotus Esprit World. I will converse with the owner over the phone and email in the hope of answering most questions. I will probably fly over and have a look. Not sure about the price? I have looked at a few over the past 6 months and I have been left with mixed feelings. Can anyone shed some light on the short comings and hidden issues with the turbo S3?

Why would a S3 need a new chassis? Accident?

There has been a lot of talk about this particular car on the Aussie Exotics forum. Looks like a great find. The owner has put up a lot of the rebuild pics - and this was a total rebuild.

Maybe I’m a bit late on this but if it is a HC car then it not Australian delivered (most likely UK and the salt on the road would have kill the chassis). If it was Australia it would be HCI (with K-jetonic fuel injection). If you decode the VIN number you will know. http://www.espritfactfile.com/VINDecode.html
