I'm no mechanic either but a couple of stabs in the dark...

Firstly, the oil pump is at the front of the engine block, sounds like a likely culprit, perhaps the seals in or around the pump are gone.

Secondly, oil in the spark plugs could just be loose plugs or occasional drips from the cam covers. If there's not too much I wouldn't worry about it.

Err, once again I'm no mechanic so please don't think too much about what I say :)

Spark plugs probably (probably) unrelated.

The cam tower can leak a bit into the plug wells,

Five minutes ago i pulled the HT leads on my SE

and mopped up the bit of oil i collect over time,

and reading this i checked the plugs for tightness

too, just in case!

I'm sorry you are having trouble this early on in

Esprit ownership. I had an awful lot go wrong in my

first year - and then five year relatively cheap running. :)
