Sunroof rubber seal

This thread is more in hope than expectation!

I have just refurbished the sunroof in my S2 Esprit. Its come out well but I am uneasy about fitting the original rubber seal in case it leaks, having just had the whole interior replaced.

I don't know who made it, my searches have proved fruitless and some companies I have spoken to have not been able to ID it. I know its aftermarket, and I also know a few G Esprits have it (including the S3 which was on wheeler dealers), so I am hoping someone may have had to do this.

I was prepared to replace the complete unit but you can't get one the same size, so I am resigned to re-using mine.

Any ideas? I can't even find a suitable extrusion which could be adapted.

I often use Walker Rubber & Plastic (the firm that used to supply a lot of Lotus items), they and other firms like it may have a suitable extrusion in stock/ have the die for such an extrusion and will make it when next doing a run of the suitable material.

Have a look for a local merchant that does rubber extrusions (they often advertise for things such as double glazing seals etc) and enquire there.
