Cannot get the bluetooth to work with my phone. I'd like to answer calls etc using the Alpine unit.

Been in the Bluetooth Setup (in the Source Setup section). I can't delete any previous stored devices and if I select scan devices, the a "failed" message comes up. I just can't seem to pair my phone with the Alpine.

Any any ideas??

May be stupid question but is your phones Bluetooth switched on?

I am offshore at present but believe there is an option to clear old phones or at least switch off so not lookingfor them. If you hunt around in this sub forum there is already plenty of topics on the Alpine and the phone paring. However good luck!

Perhaps try removing the portable sat nav and resetting it? This solved th pairing problem I had a few months ago.

Bluetooth definitely on on my phone.

I can't add bluetooth devices and I can't delete old devices that are stored.

My Alpine does not have the portable sat nav. I believe 2011 don't have them.

Still confused. Car going to Murrays this coming Wednesday, so maybe question Craig.

Thanks

Ahh, OK. I think the S has the newer nav.

There must be a way of resetting it though, perhaps something in a menu? The navigation module will be hidden in the car somewhere, so if you can get to it there may be a hardware reset button.

Antony, will try and see if I can reset the sat nav.

Failing that.... I hope Murrays can fix it.

Car in at Murrays today. Door lock fixed. Yeah!

But definitely faulty Bluetooth. They couldn't fix it and I was told they had to contact Lotus for a solution.

Got an email from Craig 6 hours later to say that they "may" have a solution. So car going in next week again.

...... But USB source input no longer working. Not sure what they did to it today. So will be getting that fixed next week aswell I hope.

I would be interested to hear how the microphone works when yo0u get this fixed. I cannot use my Alpine hands free when doing more than about 30mph as there is too much noise on the other end apparently.

I called the Lotus factory whilst in the car with the 2 part system to show how bad the reception was and the answer I eventually (and honestly) got was - that is why we are fitting single piece units in the new ones!

So........... please let us know how it goes.

My Bluetooth still hasn;t been fixed. It is in today and I have decided to leave it with them for a few days to get several other things ironed out...

1. Since going to get Bluetooth fixed the first time... my USB connection has failed to work

2. Getting some rattles fixed.

3. The leather sill on the drivers side was damaged after getting the locks fixed

4. The brake disc hubs show signs of rust. Craig pointed that out... I didn;t even notice. So he said he will be cleanig and painting them for me.

..... so whilst my car is left at Murrays for the next 5 days...... they have given me a .......

.... Volvo V50 1.6 litre 115 BHP......

.... I am missing the Evora S already!!!

Got my car back today!

Bluetooth fixed! USB connection also fixed. Rattles behind the dash gone. Leather sill temporarily fixed cos the leather trimmer is on holiday, but Craig said he will sort it out whenever its convenient for me to take the car back. Brake disc hubs now look great, as opposed to looking rusty!!

Really glad to get the car back!! woohoo!

Later Alpine? I've got a pals Evora at a dealer at the moment and a head unit change didn't fix this problem so they're replacing the Bluetooth (BT-500) module now.
