Clutch rest pedal?

Has anyone put in a foot rest ? next to the clutch.

I have one I can use but wondered if people found it got in the way?

Looks like i'm missing items 14 and 13, I just have a blank lump. I'll see if the usual suspects ell them.

OK. So #2 is the throttle, #3 is the brake, #4 is the clutch and #10 is the footrest.

What is #5??? Passenger ejector?

My G car had one. I had to remove it else I'd have to press the clutch and brake at the same time to avoid pressing the clutch and the foot rest.

I know I'm resurrecting an old post here, but likewise, the driver's footrest is missing from my newly acquired S3 albeit the framework for parts 10-15 are present.

It looks like it may be easier to make something up rather than try and find someone selling at a sensible price?

Does anyone have the dimensions and thickness of these bits?

I don't have the dimensions to hand. Can tell you that the footrest is not very thick as it keeps bending toward the footwell wall. Have to keep putting my toe behind it every so often to bend it back.

Looking at mine more closely, I seem to be missing much of what I see in the diagram above.

It looks like a matter of drilling small hole into the plate and bolting in a suitably cut down and shaped generic pedal that you can pickup from most anywhere? Or would that be too much of a bodge?
