Can anybody help please: trying to find our old Lotus Elan

Hi there

I wonder if you can help, I am trying to locate a car that used to belong to the gentleman that I work for. It is a Lotus Elan, registration KLY 324D and chassis number 36/5556. The car was last seen racing in Portugal. I would be extremely grateful if anyone could advise if they know of the car's whereabouts as we believe it may be for sale again?

Many thanks

Hi all!

Only now I saw this message since I was on vacation, but I'm sure you'll agree that it's not too late :)

We know the car! And we can probably get some news very soon :)

Here you can see it in Boavista back in 2009

Good news!

The car is in fact in Portugal, in the city of Oporto and is maintained by one of our top Lotus specialists, Joaquim Bessa (Kikas Bessa for his friends). The car is owned by Luis Tejeiro, a lawyer and a gentleman driver from the North of Spain that raced the Elan in at Boavista Circuit in 2009 and left the car here for service. It's in fact for sale and all contacts must be made to Joaquim on kkb@aeiou.pt or +351919250716

Glad that Club Lotus Portugal can help our friends in UK to find "lost gems"

Well done Rui!

If its as good as it looks it'll be a superb little car..... historical racing anyone?

It's a pretty good racer on our scene with interesting results. The problem is that the current owner is a very busy man and doesn't have much time to dedicate to racing. As I said, he left the car in Porto in 2009 and never went to get it back! :)

But if it goes back to UK it will be missed :(
