Light Pods Won't Come Up

Been sitting for several years and now with a new battery, most everything works except for the lights. When turning on with either the switch or column lever, you can hear the relay click but nothing else happens. Fuse, ground (earth), relay????

Have you tried twisting the manual knob on the rear of the lift motor

CAREFUL if you have them still connected to the electrics the movement can make the contact inside the motor and they will come up and the knob you are twiddling will start spinning furiously.

If when it hits the top of it's travel it goes down using the motor then you can rule out the motor. Obvious one, you've checked the fuse and the wires to the motor for feed and continuity to earth?

If you are stuck I have one spare motor from a TR7 and a non functioning one I removed last week. You could always borrow the spare and attach it to the wiring which would definitively prove if it was the wiring or the motor.

I'll give it a try tomorrow. I do remember some other threads saying to make sure the fuse was out before trying anything. Thanks for the offer. Let's see if the knob twisting works.
