Howdy again,

After reading every thread on lighting I still have this question:

Since my 1993 SE Fog lights are simply worthless for other that DRL's, and are incapable of taking an HID upgrade due to HID bulb length, what about putting in a low wattage H3 orange painted bulb in the Fog assembly and rerouting the turn signal wires to them, and then try removing the double orange turn signals located in the bumper skin (which looks impossible as the phillips head screws are facing out and no way to get a grip on their heads (installed backwards perhaps?) and filling that hole with a real Bosch or Hella Fog Light using 3000K HID's or 3000K Hx bulbs? Anyone ever tried that? Any advice pro or con, please?

Hi Lucas,

Think you are local to me, I am over near College Park. Would love to meet up at some point.

Have you had your fogs out? To me, does not look as though it would take a normal HID bulb due to its length. Ergo, thought about moving both dumb turn signalling units above power down to the fogs then painting the H3 in it orange. Removing the twin turn signal units and find a fog that comes close to fitting in that space and dumping in an HID 3000K bulb. Any thoughts? Have read every forum entry on here and nothing relates.

Painting bulbs never works, maybe you could get an orange film to cover the lenses?

I'm in College Park all the time!
