Hi all,

I ned to refill the gearbox with oil on my car, it's the W58 type from a 1986 Excel SE. Has anyone got any recommendations for a make and grade of oil/ I'm in the UK so one that's available in the UK would be good :-)

Also has anyone got any hints or tips on the easiest way to fill the gearbox oil, starting with a bottle of whatever is suggested above....

Any help or info appreciated.

Mobil Mobilube SHC Gear oil is pretty good. It's really noticeable when it's v cold.

I bought a Gallon jug and a pump with a plastic hose that screws into the filler neck of the jug. Makes it very easy, not only on the Elite!
