Looking to buy an Esprit

Morning everyone, my name is Ged and I currently own a TVR Chimaera but I have decided to get an Esprit.

I live near Norwich and was wondering if there is anyone on here who also lives in the Norwich area that would be willing to allow me to look over their Esprit, so I can get an idea on the following:

a: if I fit in the car

b: if I will be able to operate the controls comfortably

c: what to look out for when looking to buy

d: which model would be best to look for

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Ged.

Did you go to the Norfolk Gala/ Police Gala a couple of years back and stop to talk to a couple of people on the east Anglia Lotus Club stand? I remember chatting to a TVR owner than who was vaguely interested in an Esprit.

There are a few owners around the area but which model was it that you were thinking of/ what are the car criteria (age, turbo/ NA/ V8)?

No I didn't go to the Norfolk Gala/Police Gala day, we may have met at Hethel a couple of years ago though.

Regarding which model I am thinking of, not S1 or S2, not X180 N/A and not a V8, but anywhere else in between.

How tall are you? I'm 6'5 with size 11 shoes and fit in and drive ok.

if it's a Esprit Turbo then Newts would be a prime choice my S3 and TE are off the road at the moment and pretty inaccessible but I can think of a couple of TEs that would be accessible to sit in etc even if bot able to be driven and they are pretty much the same inside as the S3.

Meets, other than tomorrow morning at Costessey Pizza Hut as we trundle off to Cromer there's the meet mid month near Newmarket or most months at Larling Angel although Esprits can be very thin on the ground at meets at the moment..
