The GT3 was introduced in 1996 to bring back to the market a car in the true spirit of the the great Colin Chapman ,shedding pounds from the the Esprit and devoid of wings and with a purity of shape that is more in homage of the original Esprit , the lightweight shell,reworked Chassis ,the introduction of the 2 litre Charge Cooled Turbo unit previously seen on the Italian market,combined with improved suspension ,braking , build quality and an interior that really is as stunning as the exterior.

The performance figures speak for themselves ,0-60 a shade under 5 sec ,0-100 12.9 and a top speed of 165mph.

Bodywork:

The shell of the car is superb,no stress cracks and excellent panel fit ( no sagging doors) they shut with a satisfying clunk ,the engine cover and boot fit excellent,the windscreen has no “milking” or fading of the black edging.

Paint Work:

Lovely! Deep shine in is what in my opinion the only colour to have a GT3 in! Just a couple of little stone chips, but considering she is 14 years old it looks fantastic!

Interior : Stunning ! Bar for a bit of seat belt rash on the drivers side seat bolster unmarked the seats are extremely supportive and with a lumbar pump on both seats are easy to get the ideal seating position,it is a lovely environment to be in .

Engine:

Excellent oil pressure,quiet valve gear,and in the last service had all belts including timing belt .

Transaxle:

Superb ,a revelation after the early Esprits excellent precise change and no slackness or vague gear selection .

Brakes :

Fitted with Aluminium Brembo Callipers and vented discs ,serious retardation!

Electrics: at the time of writing the only electrical gremlin is the abs light come on and off now and again,no effect at all on the brakes! Just a Lotus foible!every other electrical item working as per specification ( great for a Lotus)

Heating :

Working perfectly.

Tyres:

The car is fitted with Excellent Bridgestone potenzas al round.

Exhaust System .

No issues.

Entertainment:

The car is fitted we an excellent music Blaupunkt CD ,12 stack Tuner and Alpine speaker system.
