My list of "things to fix" is getting longer.

Just added drivers door seal and A-pillar rubber seal onto the list.

Drove 3 hours from Glasgow to Preston today in the strong winds and wet weather. Got out the car and found the rubber seal above the A-Pillar on the passenger side has flicked out and is now loose.

Also, the door seal on the drivers side has basically fallen off. Upon closer examination the door seal is simply stuck on ... like sticky tape. There is no mechanical retention.

Think I am going to wait another couple of months before booking my car in... just in case other things pop up and need fixing!!

Both of these things are common unfortunately. Had both. The top of the A pillar one on mine was only after new screen fitted when everything disturbed. It was also a hard one to find as was like machine gun fire at 80mph but sounded from door bottom. Took quite a few stops to identify source as it kept flicking back in on slowing down!

Also when at it in this area take a close look at the glossy black trim covering A pillars. This has been another problem part for some of us. It is stuck onto the glass as well as being bolted through A pillar. However can still lift at speed and vibrate. I am due another one and car in presently.

Thanks Al. Will certainly have a look at the A-pillars.

This is my first Lotus and I am genuinely surprised at the number of "little" quality issues.... especially on a model that cost £67000 when new. But the really strange thing is that I still love the car!!! The looks, handling and feel of the car definitely make up for the quality issues, but it would be nice if I didn;t have to keep going back to Murrays!
