:) Well, i suppose it had to happen, got brought home on a truck yesterday.

i was overtaking, and suddenly all i could see through the rear view mirror was a white cloud!!

The engine bay was completely soaked through. The hose between the inlety manifold and the water pump has let go.

The Lotus part no is A192E2017F, and on Dr Hess' site in the US states it is gates part number 24022 (1 3/8ID by 5.5" long)

In the UK, we cannot cross ref this Gates number.

Question, does anyone know what vehicle this Gates part fits - preferably a manufacturer/model that is available in the UK?

Really glad its just a hose, I'm not sure how many seconds my heart stopped for!!!! :P

Cheers
