Hows this for a project....

ebay Esprit S2

Wish I had the space to take something like this on, been more than a little jealous of all the fun Troys having with his little baby!!! Unfortunately city living with allocated parking really doesn't lend itself to that kind of thing. :)

Can't wait to get my next place so i can have a decent garage and have some proper dirty fun!! :)

Simon

p.s. how are you getting on Troy? Not seen any new pics for a while...

Hope somebody gets it to restore, it would be a great shame to see this car parted out :) It will take alot of enthusiasm, and a strong bank account (or high credit limit) to make it a 10 again B)

That needs really fanatic Lotus enthusiastic, like Wayne said it deserves restoring.

But there will be lot of work, is there fungus inside cabin or is it that kind of funny colour?

Dont know him , but know of him! I have been trying to get hold of a wrecked V8 (in North America)for a couple of years now, he always gets to them first! :P Most of the Americans post on Brian Boyles Turbo Esprit Forum ( I find it too dull and humourless a place for me) :P

Is that not just a grey/green suade/alcantara dash covering with black seats and centre console? Thought that was quite common in the early esprits?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

If you regularly water the interior of your 350 , you too can get a similar effect! :P

LOL :P

Looks like somone has asked the owner that same question and she's confirmed it is a green/grey velvety type material.

While were on the subject of prjects, how about this guy....  :P

BIG Lotus Project

Seriosly committed, a real enthusiast and a joy to read about his adventures. Anybody know him?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Don't know him but that's a great job to do! I have read that last autumn, when I was anxious to find all the Lotus stuff from internet, was hesitating to buy my Esprit, but I made a good decision B)

Guest Troy Halliday

Well don't look at me I've got my hands fall at the moment.

I just finnished building a Lotus 7 replica for a friend then bought my Esprit and sitting outside the workshop is a 1974 Jaguar Coupe which needs to be restored :P

Mind you I think I'll have a break after the Esprit and enjoy driving around in it for a while before I lock myself away in the garage for another project. :P

I have lost a shed load of photo's because my digital camera decided to throw a strop. I will be adding new photo's soon but there will be a bit of a hole in the build progress. It's looking like a car again at the moment, I'm going through the loom at the moment chopping out some bad wire and checking all the connections. I am replacing the fuses with blade type fuses and splitting up components to their own fuse instead of having them grouped as they are at the moment.

Instead of going on I'll update the pictures and put a post in the G-car forum with links to the pictures to show you what I've been up to.

Talking of projects, this guy:  http://www.projectm71.com/  is either a complete loon or quite happy chucking money around.  It's gone fairly quiet on his site recently, so maybe funds/enthusiasm have dried up.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Thanks, been searching for that :P that is quite a project indeed.

Anyone knows the link for Giugiaro engine-project, they claimed that car would go 300km./h. (186mph). I think it was some tuner-address :P but the basic engine was giugiaro turbo esprit.
