1st thing that springs to mind is you were supplied with a faulty mount. Also the severe jolting of the engine caused by it cutting in and out with your recent electrical fault may have helped cause premature failure of the part. Contact your supplier and tell them whats happened, maybe they'll send you a new part. Just dont tell them about your other problem!

Stick with it, it'll all be fine and one day, soon i hope, you will look back and realise its all been worth the effort and be driving around with reliability and a great big smile! :P

Hi Marc

If your mounts are starting to shear after only 30 miles and if all ell's is ok then it must be a faulty mount.

The engine and gearbox on the S1 and S2 cars also hold the rear suspension side loadings just a thought are the gear box mountings there and in good condition because if there not every time you go around a corner the side loading on the gear box would try to twist the engine out of the car and possibly giving you the mount problems that you have
