FRONT SUSPENSION/ARB QUESTION

Hi gents,

just a quick question:

I've fitted the ARB to the car with all the other components already mounted,

cars is ON STAND and I've noticed that once torqued down the ARB to the clamps the lower links bushes are badly distorted.

I mean: it seems that the lower link has been pushed a lot versus front of the car and the bushes are now not sitting properly.

I think they would be in the correct position once the car will be lowered on the wheels and with the right weight on it or there is something wrong?

If I remember correctly from when I did mine the suspension components arent supposed to be torqued up until the car is back in one piece and sat on its wheels.

Hi Giorgio,

 

I have replaced these ARB bushes and saw the distortion as you describe and like you i figured it would be better once the weight is on the wheels.

yes I know that the upper and lower link bushes must be torques down at ride height and with the body on.
