What causes the fuel to blast out the carbs ?

My engine and windows are covered in fuel after about 30seconds running the engine.

They drip constantly and have a high pressure spray of fuel coming out of them.

I would not start that engine again, Mr. !

Have you just done timing belt? ( fuel standoff could be caused by incorrect valve timing)

To be spraying out it would have to be under quite a high pressure worth checking fuel pressure as the pump is powerfull enough to force past the floats this happened on mine and locked the engine. try just turning on the ignition so as fuel pump is running and see if you get the spray then if so it would indicate that the pressure is not being regulated.

I would have thought that if the petrol is spraying out with the force that you say then the leak would be on the pump side of the needle float valve if the problem was on the other side it would just tend to run out.

Check the fiber washers on the banjo bolts are ok and that the bolts are not loose and that the petrol pipe its self is not perished.

What ever you do don't start the engine until the leak is found ignition sparks and petrol are best left inside the cylinders
