im thinking of going to this with a few mates, picnic/drool over tasty cars etc.i phoned the organisers, and they have a consession for tasty modern sportscars even if there newer than the 1980 limit. so it sounds good. its also a lovely place.

monday sounds favourite, but may be persuaded to get out the pub on sunday and go then too.

if u fancy the look of it, see you there!

Will see how tomorrow goes Mate.

Today i reached my heat threshold at about 10.00am (i'm that crap!).

Will probably take a ladies parasol to Castle Combe tomorrow, i'm so

pathetic.

Mind you, will make up for the days constant rain at 'Castle earlier

this month, so won't moan too much, if i do then buy me an ice cream.

I made an amusing comment at one classic show we went to, ended

up with some allegro owner blocking my path "So, tell me about this

square steering wheel you seem to know so much about". Was well

scary!

So i won't comment on the leyland stuff now til i'm well outta range...

Well I'm hoping for a complete contrast to wallowing around in the mud at Coombe last time!

Hehe... sure you don't want to get that AC fixed??

Don't 'dis a mans car ;-)

We're potentially up for Beale park too .. probably with kids in tow so we'll be in the flaking calypso red Excel!

twas a canary yellow allegro with brown vinyl roof & interior.

You would have to be made of steel to be able to pass by it without

making some comment. All i said was "it hasn't got a square wheel".

Figure he was just lonely...

good reason mind.

I could well be up for a trip out on Monday, and Reading is just down the road (well 30 miles !) and I've not been to a classic show for ages.

may go sunday as well, but monday seems to be the day.

theres no probs getting a "modern" lotus or sportscar in there the lady said, so come on down! get the polish out

I had a few people looking at mine and asking a few questions when I arrived as I'm sure the other Esprit guys did as well. Though seeing 3 GT40s in a row (even if they were replicas) is not an everyday site and was rather awesome.

Yep !

I had the owner of the white GT40 talking to me about my Esprit, he wanted to get rid of the GT40 cos it too much like hard work to drive and has always fancied an Esprit, and there's me saying yeah go for it they're just as much fun, I use mine as a daily driver........ Then on the way home my radiator lets go and I have to get transported back home by the RAC. Ahhh well !!!! :D
