White Excel SE 1986

Recommended Posts

One of the first SE’s off the production line (registered January 1986)

Lovely car with sweet-running clean engine.

Custom interior: half-leather ‘strawberries and cream’ – red velour and cream leather.

Interior headlining was replaced several years ago and is in very good condition.

Service history (all invoices and MOTs) from 1997 onwards from Haydon Daytune and Lotus specialists GST Performance. Many service history records pre-then as well.

Owned by us from 1997. Selling because we rarely use it nowadays and we need the garage space.

133,500 miles.

MOT until end September 2014
Taxed until end September 2014

Serviced by Gerald Turner of GST Performance (until the last three years during which time it has been garaged and not used except for trips out for MOT)

Garaged and rarely used for the past 3 years.

4 Proxes Toyo correct-size tyres all with nearly full tread. New battery 18 months ago (kept on trickle charger).

Original Lotus OZ alloys.

Power steering, electric windows and mirrors

Working radio.

Engine and electrics all vgc.

Exterior paint needs refurbishment (the protective sealant is peeling off. Near-side window frame has corrosion spots. Interior fan only runs on the 2 highest settings.

Interior carpeting and lining all in good condition except that the rear parcel shelf carpeting is slightly stained from condensation. The driver’s seat right shoulder area has split the leather / velour and is taped over).
