On my journey through the electrics of my beautiful car I have removed the centre console to clean everything up back there. Even before taking it off it had always struck me as odd that there appeared to be two rear window demister switches - one in the top left marked 'R. Def.', the other, bottom left, with the standard 'rectangle with wavy lines' picture. And unlike all the others the 'R. Def.' switch has the writing at the top of the switch.

Now the facia is off I've discovered that this 'R. Def.' switch is in fact a blank, a whole switch but attached to nothing. So I'm hoping that someone can tell me what was supposed to be in that top left slot on a Riviera. My current set-up is: top row - 'R. Def.', rear interior lights (I love this 'luxury' feature!), fog lights and headlights. Bottom row - demister and hazard switch. Any guidance would be very welcome!

Many thanks, Dan

Hi,

I've got an eclat S1 so can't answer that,  but this listing has a photo of the centre dash in case it sheds any light(?) Assuming that car is unmodified that is....

Thanks very much guys. I think I'm going to wire the blank into the loom as a manual radiator fan switch. Not that the car would ever overheat...
