[SWEDEN] Lotus Festival Sweden 2016 September 3-4

This year the Swedish club celebrates its 40th anniversary. The weekend September 3-4 we arrange Lotus Festival Sweden 2016 in Söderköping on the east coast (not far from Norrköping). The program include a sports car rally of approx. 100 km on the Saturday as well as our annual meeting. The highlight this year is that we've invited Julian Thomson as our guest.

Although a lot smaller than the Festival you arrange we were really happy to see 40 cars visiting ours. Last weekend 80 people turned up with 40 cars for Lotus Festival of Sweden 2016. Special guests for the weekend were Julian Thomson and Elisa Artioli. Given that Sweden is a rather vast country some arrived already on the Friday evening. At Saturday lunch the hotel garden was full of cars. Both older and newer turned up. We even got a Lotus 23 on display from one of the clubs original members. After lunch we took to the road for a rally which lasted for a few hours. Nice to get to see some new roads. In the evening Julian held a really interesting speech about car design. Lots of signing of both books and cars for both him and Elisa. In the morning we held the clubs annual meeting with election of a new board. After lunch we left for home. Most of us opted for back roads. Below are some photos from the weekend.
