Front bumper removal 1989 Esprit turbo

Hello,

 

Has anyone managed to remove the front bumper assembly without the use of explosives??

 

I have got the spoiler off and the 5 nuts at the very front of the luggage compartment, but the nuts (2 off each side) along the side near the wheel arches are not moveable..... any tips gratefully received.  I have to take it off to refit the spoiler as all of the studs that held that on had to be cut out (the spoiler was broken by a speed hump)
