Tyres on S2 111S

Just thought you might like to know, I put Toyo TR1s on the front recently and Toyo Sports on the rear. (From Micheldever Tyres - £335 for all four)

After about a hundred miles getting used to them, I had a "spirited" drive last night and the grip, front and rear, was fantastic.

No trace of under or oversteer - just went exactly where I pointed it.

The car feels taughter in a straight line too. All in all, I would recommend them - for grip, comfort. noise and speed. I will let you know on wear and fuel consumption when I have some data!

You mean T1R?

The sidewalls are a little soft for the Elise but I'd imagine you'd have to be on track to notice this. I used to have them on my MX5 RS and they were cracking tyres for that car :)

Could be R1Ts or TITRRRS or something. You know what I mean!

Since I have only tracked my Elise 3 times in 5 years I reckon I will be alright.

SWMBO might be grateful for soft sidewalls since we are off to France for a fortnight in September! Perhaps  softer ride.
