Where are you? Maybe I can recomend a muffler shop in your area.

V8's have a really simple setup, and a good shop can build a great sounding and better performing system for you.

Junk the muffler and run straight through cats - the stock cats are like bricks and muffle just fine.

Remove the stock cats and muffler. You can re-use the turbo exhaust pipe by cutting it away from the stock cat. Replace the stock cats with high flow metal cats. I have Random Technology cats, they are $200+ each; below is a less expensive version on ebay.

Run 2.5 inch pipes straight from the cats with no muffler.

Have a muffler shop weld it up and you are done.
