Question

Well Ive had a good bit of advice from PNM today with regards to my gearchange problem. After bleeding the clutch and making sure the pedals are even I set about adjusting the cross gate cable extention that connects to the bellcrank lever. Using just 1/8 of a turn either way I can either make my gear change not work or with a lot of force go into 2nd etc with the engine on, engine off and its fine in all gears apart from being able to select reverse correctly, what I mean is it goes in if you lift the stick or not ( with the engine on it grinds teeth!!!! with that nasty CRRR noise!).
Ive turned it back to exactly where it was the the mill and its same problem but slightly different.
In a nutshell I think its garage time if I want to make the oxford run.
IMPORTANT BIT
Paul Matty is the closest Lotus Dealer to cheltenham to the best of my knowledge but he is to far off to drive the car there and its going to be 350quid to get the car shipped there and back.
Does anyone know a garage in or very near to cheltenham that is not a lotus chap but could be trusted to do the work? I can get into 3rd gear and stay there if I drive it very slowly and a 4am in the morning, that is unless anyone wants to come out and do the work for cash at my home?
