If so is the steering a lot heavier when maneuvering?

I'm running 195 on the front on my S Cup due to having the option wheels, the steering is heavier but nothing you can't live with. Ideally you need 6.5 or 7.0 wide rims to run 195 tyres.

 

 

195's are generally OK on Elises. Effect on low speed feel/weight may be a bit dependant on which tyres you are using but I don't think you really loose anything by using 195s. 

205's are a bit of a pet hate of mine usually resulting in tram lining especially on AO48s or 888s also can be made worse by aggressive geo settings. 

Ok, am I misunderstanding the handbook when it refers to "option"? Is it actually meaning the option wheels rather than option tyres?
