Kato... Has there been any mention of them then doing this for later G-Cars?

Don't see why we should miss out on the action :)

EDIT:

OOPS! Read the rest of it more clearly!! YAY! Glad to hear it :P :P

Did they hint at even a 'ball park' (non-legally binding  ) price?

negative-roll cornering (where the car leans into the bend motorcycle-style:

weird) and the negative-dive braking (where the nose actually lifts when you

stand on the anchors: even weirder)."

Paul , it looks like Lotus took an extreemly ugly car (Metro6R4) and made it look slightly better (Stevens SE) :)

Didn't Lotus auction off a load of engineering prototypes and styling models a few years ago? I am pretty sure the active Esprit was sold wuite cheaply. I was tempted myself, but I didn't have the spare cash. Probably save myself some headaches but I remember the press articles about it at the time and it was fantastic. I was working for Rover at Gaydon when it was released to the press and one of the chassis engineers had a ride in the car and was suitably impressed although the suspension was very noisey.

Kato,I have only previously seen 1 photo of it (front shot in a book). I believe there was an article in Autocar magazine in 1983 on Active Suspension. John Miles did most of the work on the car , maybe he would tell you something about it? :)

I think that most of the British motoring magazines, like Motor, Car, Autocar, probably MotorSport, of the time carried articles on it at the time. I don't know if any back issues are still available. I wish I had kept them, now but they got thrown in a move many years ago. What a plonker!

It was on the telly as well doing all sorts of tricks - I can't remember what show but think it might even have been Tomorrows World?

No NO NO!!!! :(

You get me wrong!

I REALLY do mean Nice car! :D

Me and Vic went and test drove the Exige earlier in the year and we loved

it to bits, great car. Hell, even the very earliest Exiges are still selling for more

than my SE is worth, so there is 100% no slap down from here mate.

Give her a pat from me too :)
